All Wonder Plugins
Question:
I purchased the Pro version and received my membership login credentials. I downloaded the Pro version and followed the upgrade instructions provided on your website. However, the free version watermark still remains.
Answer:
First, go to the plugin menu Overview and check the title of the plugin. For commercial versions, it should display: Wonder PLUGIN_NAME Pro Version VERSION_NUMBER
.
If it still shows Free Version, Trial Version, or Lite Version, this means your website is still running the free version. Please follow this tutorial to install the Pro version: How to Install the Pro Version Without Losing Existing Work.
If the title is correct, the issue is likely caused by caching. There are four types of cache you may need to clear:
- WordPress cache or JS minification/combination plugin: If you have a CSS/JS minify or cache plugin installed (e.g., Autoptimize, WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache, WP Fastest Cache, WP Rocket), empty the cache in the plugin.
- Web server cache by your web hosts: Some web hosts cache web files, such as GoDaddy, SiteGround, WPEngine, and DreamHost. Contact your hosting provider to confirm if web files are cached and to learn how to clear the cache.
- Your local web browser cache: Clear the cache in your web browser after upgrading the plugin.
- CDN sync: If your hosting provider uses a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to deliver images and JavaScript files, you may need to force a sync to update the content across all CDN servers. Contact your hosting provider for instructions on how to do this if you are using a CDN.
