Tutorial:

This tutorial will guide you how to create a WordPress post grid gallery using the Wonder Grid Gallery plugin and add a post category filter.

There are three steps in this tutorial:

  • Step 1 - Create a WordPress grid gallery and define the gallery categories
  • Step 2 - Add WordPress posts to the gallery and assign the category
  • Step 3 - Enable category filter of the gallery

A created demo is as follows:

Step 1 - Create a WordPress grid gallery and define the gallery categories

In Wonder Grid Gallery, create a new gallery, at the top of the gallery editor, define the categories.

Step 2 - Add WordPress posts to the gallery and assign the category

In the gallery editor, step 1 Images & Videos tab, click the button "Add WordPress Posts". In the Add Posts dialog, select a post category and select gallery categories that we defined in the first step of this tutorial.

Step 3 - Enable category filter of the gallery

In the gallery editor, go to the step 4 Options tab, Category Options, check the option "Show categories buttons". You can also choose a CSS style of the category filter. You can show the categories with buttons, or show them in a drop down selection.
